If you want to talk with all three, you must buy three different radios…ĭ-STAR (created by ICOM), Fusion C4FM (created by Yaesu), and DMR (an open standard). There are three competing ham digital voice standards. You can find information about Getting Licensed from the ARRL (American Radio Relay League). This radio is intended for ham radio operators. It’s not perfect, but there’s nothing better in the DMR realm. It has a robust build and packs a lot of features into its form factor. This is the latest model (released in April 2021) in AnyTone’s ham radio HT DMR lineup. Here’s my review of the AnyTone AT-D878UVII Plus. It’s not compact, but it’s also not overly bulky for what it does.

It’s also the only HT I’ve come across that implements Bluetooth correctly. Please allow a few days for him to answer your emails. This is the best DMR ham radio handheld transceiver (HT) on the market.
ANYTONE AT D868UV TALK PERMIT TONE UPDATE
The maintainer MUST commit to updating the codeplugs when changes are made (ie, color code changes, talkgroup changes, new sites, etc.) If you choose not to update your codeplugs when necessary, your codeplugs will be removed from the list.We do realize that there are differences that cannot be supported in all radios and we will allow that. The codeplug must follow the same layout as the standard RMHAM codeplug, same layout, channels, zones, systems to match. There are requirements that RMHAM has to have your codeplug listed on this system. End users are encouraged to maintain the contact lists in their codeplugs themselves.Ĭomments, and questions, please contact the individual codeplug maintainers directly. Please note that these codeplugs are only updated when errors are identified or compelling additions need to be made. Think very carefully before you buy something that is NOT listed here. If you want to get into DMR, the learning curve is massively steep. We likely don’t have anything on it and we’re not going to support a one-off. If you don’t see it listed here, we don’t support codeplugs on that radio type. If you don’t see a codeplug for your radio, it’s likely not popular enough for someone to create a “sample codeplug.” Consider supporting DMR and RMHAM radio by creating a codeplug for your radio and supplying updates as they are needed to us. These codeplugs are maintained by volunteers. They are not intended to be all inclusive. RMHam provides these sample codeplugs (DMR radio programs) as a service to its members who are encouraged to use them as a template to create/tailor a codeplug personalized for their own use. You MUST INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS in the body of the message! CLICK HERE. If you’d like to subscribe to the Google Group, please send a message to the group owner(s). Rocky Mountain Ham Radio maintains a Google Group that will keep you informed of codeplug changes.
